Membership Profile

CFA Chicago boasts a membership of more than 3500 investment professionals representing a wide variety of industry classifications and titles.

Stimulating Activities

Throughout the year, CFA Chicago holds meetings and programs where top experts in investment analysis, authoritative educators, and notable industry executives bare their operations in frank discussions with opportunities for give-and-take questioning.

At the CFA Chicago Luncheon Meetings, you'll hear CEO's of companies whose stock is of interest, authors of recent books in our field, governmental figures, foreign authorities, other top-notch analysts, and prominent speakers who will deal with important ancillary issues that bear directly on your business such as regulatory activities and good business practices.

Educational and Professional Development seminars are held from time-to-time to consider subjects of topical interest presented by outstanding specialists in the field. Once a year, the Society has a fall dinner meeting at which a prominent speaker holds forth on a subject of broad national interest.

CFA Chicago also sponsors social events, including Happy Hours and group outings to the Cubs and the Bulls.

All in all, you'll find a wide range of programs available to help you keep abreast of our rapidly changing business. There's just no better way to accumulate the working knowledge you need than through CFA Chicago activities.

Accreditation

The Society sponsors the all-important Stalla review courses leading up to accreditation as a Chartered Financial Analyst. These comprehensive sessions are meticulously crafted and presented by authoritative instructors who are tenured professors or active practitioners in the subjects they are teaching. If you are not already a Charterholder, every effort will be expended to help you achieve the critical CFA® imprimatur needed in your business.

Employment Opportunities

The Society maintains an active on-line job posting board to help members find better positions and help the industry fill its on-going requirement for qualified applicants.

We'll welcome your participation!

The work of this Society, like most societies, is best carried forward by the combined efforts of a large number of energetic people working together in a common cause; not by one person or a small group of people doing all the work under the fierce and expectant gaze of the membership. You'll get more out of the CFA Chicago if you put something into it by joining with your peers in association for the betterment of all.

The Society encourages all members to take an active part in our 12 exciting Advisory Groups. We welcome volunteers for all our Advisory Groups: Annual Dinner, Candidate Services, Career Management, C.F.A. – Cultivating Female Ambition, Communications, Education, Finance, Job Placements, Luncheon Programs, Recruitment, Social and Technology. These Advisory Groups provides ample opportunity to network, build relationships, enjoy associations with peers, and develop contacts within the industry, as well as provide impetus to the improvement of the Society.
