Recently, President Obama signed into law a $787 billion stimulus bill. The bill includes $48 Billion for infrastructure spending. It only seems like a down payment on some of the future spending needed to improve the nation's roads, bridges and highways. The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) estimated it will require $2.2 Trillion over the next five years. Please join Elizabeth Collins, associate director of research at Morningstar for the Basic Materials team, for a discussion that will highlight investment opportunities in this sector.

Attendees should be prepared to make a 1 - 2 minute presentation of their favorite investments in the infrastructure and basic materials sector that will thrive in this environment.

Elizabeth Collins - Morningstar
Ms. Collins is an associate director of research at Morningstar for the Basic Materials team. She has covered oil and gas companies, coal miners, propane distributors, and utilities. Ms. Collins joined Morningstar in January 2005 after interning in Navigant Consulting's corporate finance department. She earned her M.B.A. from DePaul University in March 2005 and holds a B.A. in psychology from Boston College. Before business school, she worked as a youth program coordinator for a public housing community organization in Boston. Ms. Collins has passed all three levels of the CFA Program and will be eligible for the CFA charter upon completion of the required work experience.
