Membership Requirements: Retired Status

• Has been an active member of the Society (i.e., either Regular Charterholder, Regular or Affiliate) for at least five (5) years;
• Is no longer engaged in active practice on a salary or fee basis; and
• Adheres to all the rules and regulations of the Society.

To APPLY for retired status, please click here and submit form to CFA Institute. If you do not meet the criteria listed above, you will be rejected as a Retired Member by CFA Chicago and invoiced at the Regular/Affiliate member dues rate of $175.

Note: Please allow 8 to 10 weeks for processing.

To CHANGE your current Retired Member status and "Un-retire," please log in to your account, and click on the "Manage My Memberships" link under the "Membership" tab. On this page, please check the "Un-Retire" link. This will take you to a screen showing all your current CFA Institute and local Society memberships. When you select "Un-Retire" here, you will be shown the PCS questions on the screen and will answer them in order to complete the "Un-Retire" process.
