CFA Chicago provides this complimentary service to all candidates, and CFA Chicago volunteers serve as the contact for these groups.

CFA Chicago Study Groups

Who is Eligible?
All candidates (must be a candidate enrolled for the next CFA exam).

What is the Sign-Up Process?
Fill out Study Group Sign-Up form online at http://www.cfachicago.org/studygroups_signup.asp
  • You may choose only ONE Preferred and ONE Alternate Date/Time/Location
  • If your 1st and 2nd choices for ONE of the criteria (i.e., location, time or day) is the same in both instances, you must still choose that on the drop-down menu both times (i.e., Preferred Choice: Chicago Downtown, Saturday Morning; Alternate Choice: Chicago Downtown, Monday Evening).
  • Do not choose the same 3 criteria for both choices. All form fields are required, except the comments field box.
  • Upon submitting the form, you will receive an email receipt, which will serve as your confirmation; no further action is required at this point.

How Do I Submit Changes?
If you need to change your preferences after submitting your form, simply send an email directly to info@cfachicago.org indicating your requested changes. Please do not submit multiple sign-up forms.

What is the Notification Process?
You will be notified by email on Friday, January 27, 2012 regarding your specific study group assignment.

You are invited to join leaders from CFA Society of Chicago and members from Kaplan Schweser to find out how to best prepare for the CFA exam. Those in attendance will have an opportunity to win a scholarship for a prep-course study package awarded by Kaplan Schweser! CFA Chicago Scholarships for June 2012 Exam
CFA Society of Chicago is pleased to offer two types of scholarships for candidates sitting for the CFA Exam. For more detailed information, or to download an application, please visit the Candidate Scholarship page online at: http://www.cfachicago.org/candidate_scholarship.asp. Be sure to read the award descriptions carefully as there are different criteria for each scholarship.

  • Kimberly Paige Memorial Study Scholarship (CFA Chicago Members-Only)
    Application must be received by Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at 5:00pm.
  • CFA Institute Exam Registration Scholarships (Open to All Candidates)
    Application must be received by Friday, January 20, 2012 at 5:00pm.
