Long-term Investing in European Small Caps

With the value of the US dollar shrinking, investors are looking to Europe for unique and profitable opportunities. Stephen Kusmierczak, CFA, co-portfolio manager and analyst at Columbia Wanger Asset Management, will lead a discussion on investing in European equities.

All participants must come prepared with a 1-2 minute verbal presentation on their best investment pick in the European small cap industry.

Stephen Kusmierczak, CFA
Mr. Kusmierczak is an international analyst at Columbia Wanger Asset Management, investment adviser to the Columbia Acorn Funds, a $36.8 billion Chicago-based investment management firm. He is also a co-portfolio manager of Wanger European Smaller Companies Fund, a Dublin-based equity fund available to non-U.S. residents in the offshore market. Mr. Kusmierczak, who joined Columbia Wanger in 2001, covers the Benelux region, Scandinavia, Central Eastern Europe and Canada.

Attendance will be limited to 15 CFA Chicago members - first come, first served.
