Michael Pickens, CPA, is a Manager of the Banking and Financial Services Division at Michael Page International. Mr. Pickens has over eight years of experience in finance recruitment in the Chicago market. He began his career at Andersen LLP in 1990, where he worked in both the Houston and Memphis offices in the financial services sector. As an audit manager at Andersen, Mr. Pickens led the audit of First Tennessee Bank (a $14 Billion retail/commercial bank) and managed several mergers & acquisitions projects within the mortgage banking sector. Mr. Pickens has successfully recruited senior level finance and accounting professionals for a number of leading Chicago companies. He has his undergraduate degree in accounting from Tulane University, is a Certified Public Accountant, and he previously passed Level I of the CFA Exam.
Jennifer Pierce is a Human Resources Manager at William Blair & Company, LLC, an independent, employee-owned investment firm in Chicago. Ms. Pierce is responsible for recruiting, employee relations and training and development for the investment banking, research and sales and trading areas of the firm. Prior to her current role, Ms. Pierce spent four years in the Corporate Finance Department as the manager of the investment banking analyst program. Previously she worked for a public company, Abacus Direct Corporation, as a financial analyst on joint ventures and mergers & acquisitions until the sale of the company to DoubleClick, Inc. Prior to that, Ms. Pierce was an investment banking analyst in the consumer sector for two years at William Blair & Company, LLC. Ms. Pierce started her career as an investment consultant at Strong Capital Management. Ms. Pierce holds a Bachelors degree in Business from the University of Wisconsin Milwauke
