It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Larry Lonis, CFA. Not only was Larry a longtime member of CFA Society Chicago, but he was also an active volunteer who spent years working with university students on our local level of CFA Institute’s Research Challenge. In 2017, Larry was awarded CFA Society Chicago’s Hortense Friedman, CFA, Award for Excellence, an award presented to a member of the Chicago-area investment community who has demonstrated initiative, leadership, and a commitment to professional excellence. Larry will be greatly missed and we extend our deepest condolences to Larry’s family, friends, and colleagues.
