BUZZ: Blockchain Updates with Zach and Zach

Blockchain and Antitrust Laws
Olta Andoni – Adjunct Professor at IIT, Chicago-Kent College of Law.

In a continuation of the fireside chat without the fire theme, Olta and Zach will discuss blockchain technology and antitrust issues. For any of you that may not know about the US Antitrust Laws, do not fret! The US Antitrust Laws, in a nutshell, attempts to maintain a competitive American marketplace. Think of the breakup of AT&T that led to the creation of the Baby-Bells in the early ’80s. If you would like to learn more, the Federal Trade Commission’s website explains the US Antitrust Laws in greater detail.

Also, Emily will give a brief presentation on exchange-traded funds (“ETFs”), what they are, and opine as to why the SEC has yet to approve a crypto-based ETF.
