Chris Vincent, CFA, joined CFA Society Chicago as chief executive officer in May of 2020. The majority of his investment career was spent as a fixed income portfolio manager in Chicago with two firms, William Blair and Zurich Scudder. He was head of fixed income and a partner at William Blair Investment Management (2002-2019) where he managed bond mutual funds and separate accounts. At Zurich Scudder (the successor firm to Kemper Financial), Vincent was a managing director and senior portfolio manager for institutional clients (1988-2002). His roots in the money management industry are as a corporate plan sponsor with Nestle Purina in St. Louis (1983-1988).

Vincent has been a volunteer for CFA Society Chicago and CFA Institute since 2006. He previously served as chair of the Board of Directors for CFA Society Chicago (2014-2015) and has also volunteered for various CFA Institute groups and committees, notably as a member of the Annual Conference Advisory Committee (2012-2018).

Vincent earned his CFA charter in 1990, received his undergraduate degree in finance from the University of Missouri and holds an M.B.A. from Saint Louis University.

Joyolin D. Brown, CFA, joined CFA Society Chicago in January 2022 as its first Chief Operating Officer. Prior to assuming this newly created role, Ms. Brown spent 25 years at Duff & Phelps Investment Management in Chicago, where she was a Managing Director/ Senior Global Utilities & Infrastructure Analyst. Early in her career at Duff & Phelps, Ms. Brown worked as a fixed-income analyst and later as a sell-side equity analyst. Ms. Brown also spent 5 years as an analyst in corporate and regulatory Finance at Southern California Edison, now Edison International, and 5 years at Union Bank of California where she was an account executive. After retiring from Duff & Phelps in 2018, Ms. Brown launched her real estate company, JDB Ventures, LLC.

Ruqaiyah Bailey joined CFA Society Chicago as Manager of Communications and Marketing in 2022.  She is an experienced professional in client service, marketing and sales in the asset management industry. Prior to assuming this role, Ms. Bailey served as Senior Client Services and Operations Specialist at Duff & Phelps Investment Management in Chicago, where she was responsible for managing and coordinating reporting to the firm’s institutional clients. Ms. Bailey also worked at Security Capital Research and Management as an administrative professional supporting the firm’s operations department in back-office trade support and financial reporting in public REITS.

Kathleen is a meetings and events professional who has managed key areas in the private club space for the last eleven years at the Union League Club of Chicago and the University Club of Milwaukee. Her experience includes the planning, development, and implementation of strategic plans that dictate the short-term and long-term objectives for activity groups and events for more than 4,000 members. Kathleen used her media relationships to secure press coverage that raises public awareness and gains the support of community organizations. Her passion is to create an overall member experience that is memorable. Kathleen brings her energy and tenacity to the CFA Society of Chicago.

Donvielle Young is an administrative professional with a background in project management, professional development (including career services and workforce development) and office/facilities management. Prior to joining CFA Society Chicago, she held a variety of positions at Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), including Senior Associate, Health Business Solutions; Senior Associate, Professional Development; and was promoted to Professional Development Coordinator. Donvielle brings to the Administrative Specialist role diverse administrative and nonprofit experience including business solutions, webinar management and annual conference support.

Ian Reid holds a BA in English Literature and Philosophy and an MS in Library and Information Science both from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His skill set includes Python, SQL, Excel, Tableau/Power BI, and he quickly learns new technologies. He is curious and ambitious to use his abilities to find new technical solutions and business insights.
